Neurological Integration System

Neurolink or the Neurological Integration System (NIS) as its also known, bases its treatment methods on the neurophysiological principle that the brain governs function of all the body’s systems through its neurological circuitry.

The brain is an automatic signaling system constantly receiving information and feedback from every facet of the body and in turn it sends back ‘fine tuning’ messages, many times per second, to every organ, muscle, tendon and cell in the body.

Sometimes, due to stresses that are usually either physical, chemical, neurological or emotional this signaling system may be slightly disconnected and these circuits and the underlying physiology they govern may be down – similar to a fuse blowing in your car or home. Power is now reduced to what that individual circuit represents, affecting function. While the brain knows all about the symptom pattern that occurs as a result of the stresses, it no longer ‘knows’ about the circuits that represent the underlying causes and therefore the best way to recover.

What It Does

NIS aims to get the brain to recognize the circuits that are not appropriately being governed in order to move you towards optimum function for you as an individual. NIS is performed using simple muscle tests to determine function and then intervention is implemented using gentle touch accordingly.

NIS complements our other approaches to treatment and can assist in getting to the deeper causes of your condition or injury. This may be appropriate if your problem has failed to improve after other treatment options or has been there a long time.

How It Helps

NIS is suitable for the whole family!  NIS has been practiced all around the world for over 20 years, treating a wide variety of symptoms and  complaints.

The technique is safe, non-invasive and non-manipulative, so it is therefore suitable for the newborn baby through to the very aged, and those that are very sick or injured.

Results can depend on the length of time the person has had the complaint, the severity and the age of the person.  There are some complaints that should only need to be addressed once.  However, as we live our daily lives we are continuously exposed to external stressors that can overload our body systems, and these can create new symptoms.  It is ideal to be proactive and receive an NIS check up at least every 100-120 days.  Please refer to the Neurological Integration System website for a range of commonly treated symptoms.
