MSK-related problems, issues with muscles, joints and bones, are the second largest cause of work absence, with an estimated 28.2 million working days lost per year. One in three people will experience lower back pain at least once in their lives, while one in eight adults are diagnosed, and are living with, a long-term MSK condition such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis or rheumatoid arthritis.
