Andy Green’s new book; One Body One Life: Don’t Screw it Up was officially launched last week with an event at The Griffin Pub in Caversham, Reading. It has been a very busy first week for the book that has seen it become available on Amazon, major book stores and of course at Reflex Spinal Health.
Once the majority of attendees arrived the books publisher, Mindy Gibbins-Klein of Panoma Press, introduced the book to the audience and gave an outline of why books, especially on health and wellbeing topics, were still so important and relevant in 2018. Following on from this Reflex Spinal Health’s clinic director, chiropractor, and now author, Andy Green, took to the stage to talk about his new book.

Andy started by quoting the World Health Organisation (WHO) definition of health which is a
“State of complete physical, mental, and social wellbeing, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” This definition was made by the WHO in 1948, and was probably ahead of its time.
We are now in 2018 and despite improvements in healthcare the quality of health in the UK is deteriorating. Reports are constantly being released about the increase in obesity, even in primary school age children. The numbers of people with Type 2 Diabetes is soaring. Mental Health issues are becoming increasingly common. A huge study in 2017 by Public health England found that over 40% of 40-60 year old people failed to achieve at least one 10 minute brisk walk in a month!
As such One Body One Life: Don’t Screw it Up! is about educating about the ‘why’ and then putting in place easily sustainable and achievable goals to improve your health. It is not about becoming a ‘chiselled athlete’, but much more about ensuring that the ‘balance scales of health’ are tipped in your favour.
Reading Chiropractor Andy Green appeared as guest on BBC Radio Berkshire on Sunday 17th June. He was a guest of Sue Kinnear (standing in for Bill Buckley) and has been invited to become a member of the stations Wellbeing panel. Andy and Sue chatted about the book for half an hour. If you missed it it is available HERE (Andy Green on BBC Radio Berkshire talking about One Body One Life: Don’t Screw it Up!) and will be available for the next 30 days or so.
