American Posture Institute and is a Certified Posture Expert.
You may be of the opinion that both chiropractors and osteopaths are experts in the field of posture already! This course by the American Posture Institute is the most thorough, up to date and incisive course available on the subjects of posture and posturology due to use of the most relevant research.
Andy Green runs Reflex Spinal Health (formerly Reflex Chiropractic) with his wife Laura who is also a chiropractor. The team constantly strive to offer the the most up to date information and care. “I have really looked forward to completing this certification as a posture expert as we aim to integrate the latest research into our care plans. There’s no point alleviating symptoms fast and efficiently if the root cause of the problem remains. The majority of people would struggle to know exactly what a chiropractor, osteopath or physiotherapist does they do understand about poor posture. FREE Posture Expert School Backpack Checks
Currently the Reflex Spinal Health team are focussing on children heading back to school. The team are offering FREE Backpack Checks in September. These are for any schoolchild and student which will also include a posture check and spinal scan. As posture expert, Dr Andy Green, says, “A study by Chueng in 2010, demonstrated that children who carry heavy backpacks present with anterior head carriage. This is directly related to neck pain. Other research demonstrates that school performance and back pain are significantly related. We are offering the backpack checks throughout September.”
Children’s spines are very tolerant to strain. Persistent strain distorts young spines into a particular shape because they are malleable. The only acceptable normal for children is perfect posture!
